Heading to St. Ignace, MI and the UP of Michigan

We headed out midmorning north along the lakeshore. At noon we lunched along the lake in Petoskey. We have been so impressed with all of the parks in Michigan.

After lunch we biked along the Little Traverse Wheelway. What a great bike path. From our lunch spot we biked by the harbor, some neat houses and beautiful flowers.

Heading south from our starting point the trail went along a bluff looking down at the lake. It was so beautifully maintained and landscaped.

We crossed the Mackinac Straits into the UP (Upper Peninsula) via the Mackinac Bridge.

But not before we stopped at the lighthouse located near the bridge.

Our hotel is on the shores of Lake Huron.

From our balcony we look out to Mackinac Island.
