The Leelanau Trail
The TART Trail in town.
After lunch we drove out the Leelanau Peninsula along the western side of Grand Traverse Bay. Yes, we were heading to another lighthouse.
Grand Traverse Lighthouse

Grand Traverse Bay - the water along the shore here is different from what we had seen along the lakeshore.

Later we drove out the Old Mission Peninsula which goes out about 16 miles into the Grand Traverse Bay. We were amazed at the number of vineyards and orchards (apple, peach and cherry) that were on this small piece of land.
We even passed a quilt barn.

And at the end of the penisula - the Old Mission Lighthouse.

We ended our day going out to dinner with Dave Anderson, Susan's husband. We visited with Susan on Sunday when we stayed with Peggy. We had a wonderful evening getting acquainted with family we have not seen in a long time.
