Monday - Pentwater Area

Monday was another perfect day and what a great way to start - looking out onto Lake Michigan.

We headed out in the morning to see the Little Sable Light. in Silver Lake.

We also took the Mac Wood’s Dune Ride, a 40 minute ride over the dunes which are in the Silver Lake area. It was scenic, fun and informative.

In the afternoon John headed out to the Hart-Montague bike trail. I opted to take advantage of my lakeside location and walk along the beach.

Peggy Scott's house from the shores of Lake Michigan.

She had two hummingbird feeders. There are so many little birds flying around, getting their fill of nutrients before they head south for the winter. It is great sitting out and watching.

They even perch in the near-by trees and preen themselves.

  1. We are currently in Maine, and today we caught up with our e-mail. Really glad to see your postings, and are SO-O jealous of the DUNE BUGGY RIDE! Wishing you continued good weather. ENJOY!
