Sunday - Grand Rapids to Lake Michigan

On Sunday morning we were greeted with a beautiful sunny day. Before we left Grand Rapids, we spent about 2 hours in the Gerald Ford presidential library. It was very interesting.

Late morning we headed southwest to the town of Fennville. The Crane Apple Orchard and Pie shop had been recommended to us by a PEO friend of John’s mom. (She grew up in the area.) The lunch we had was worth the trip. We had a chance to speak to the owner who was related to our friend.

Sated with sandwich and peach pie, we started our exploration of the eastern shorn of Lake Michigan.

We arrrived in Pentwater about 5pm where we are staying with John’s sister. We had an extra treat because her daughter Susan was also spending the night. We haven’t seen her in a very long time.
